2 distribution centers located in Escuintla and Chiquimulilla, in Guatemala, received the prestigious LEED® Gold Certification from U.S. Green Building Council as a showcase example of sustainability and demonstrates leadership in transforming the building industry.
These projects were rated as Gold under the v4.1 Operations and Maintenance: Existing Buildings rating system. These properties contribute to the environment by generating at least 10% less Green House Gases emissions, reducing water use by 30%, and up to 74% of the waste generated is diverted appropriately. Their regularly occupied spaces comply with the ASHRAE 62.1 standards for the quality of the air inside the premises, contributing to the wellbeing of its occupants.
