Guatemala, February, 2025: The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, has recognized Mobiliare Real Estate Solutions as an "EDGE Champion", a distinction earned for its commitment to certifying more than 80% of its current portfolio with EDGE. Future developments will also have this certification.
EDGE is the green building certification created to democratize sustainable construction. IFC is the leading international development institution dedicated to the private sector in emerging markets.
Mobiliare Real Estate Solutions is the leading private regional fund for real estate investment with properties in 9 Latin American countries and over one billion dollars in assets under management.
To date, Mobiliare Real Estate Solutions has 44 EDGE projects and has managed to certify 14 properties that meet a series of efficiency measures that will have a significant impact on the use of the planet's natural resources. It is estimated that these projects certified with EDGE will achieve a total energy savings of 4,761 MWh/year and 33,323 cubic meters of water per year, equivalent to more than 33 million liters. Similarly, the estimated savings in CO2 emissions amount to 27 thousand tons.
Additionally, there are 30 more projects in progress that will achieve EDGE certification in the first half of this year. With this, the total impact of our projects amounts to the equivalent of the electrical energy used by 899 households each year; the equivalent of 39 Olympic-sized swimming pools in water savings, and the equivalent of the CO2 emissions from removing 22,848 vehicles from traffic each year.

IFC launched EDGE as an innovative online platform, a green building standard, and a certification system available in over 150 countries. EDGE was created in response to the need to democratize the design and construction of green projects and to offer a measurable solution that demonstrates the business case for building green. This certification is supported by free software that offers solutions to reduce energy, water, and embedded carbon in the materials used in the construction of the project by at least 20%. In this way, EDGE allows construction professionals to quickly, easily, and affordably determine the most cost-effective ways to
build sustainably, depending on the type of building and its location.

Guatemala, febrero de 2025: La Corporación Financiera Internacional (IFC, por sus siglas en inglés), brazo privado del Grupo Banco Mundial ha reconocido a Mobiliare Real Estate Solutions como “EDGE Champion”, distinción obtenida por su compromiso con certificar más del 80% de su portafolio actual con EDGE. Los futuros desarrollos también contarán con dicha certificación.
EDGE es la certificación de edificios verdes creada para democratizar la construcción sostenible. IFC es la principal institución internacional de desarrollo dedicada al sector privado en los mercados emergentes.

A la fecha, Mobiliare Real Estate Solutions tiene 44 proyectos EDGE y ha logrado certificar 14 propiedades que cumplen con una serie de medidas de eficiencia que permitirán tener un impacto importante en el uso de los recursos naturales del planeta. Se estima que estos proyectos certificados con EDGE podrán lograr un ahorro de energía total de 4,761 MWh/año y 33,323 metros cúbicos de agua al año, equivalente a más de 33 millones de litros. De igual forma, el ahorro estimado en toneladas de CO2 asciende a 27 mil toneladas.
Adicionalmente, se tiene en proceso 30 proyectos más, que alcanzarán la certificación EDGE en el primer semestre de este año. Con esto, el impacto total de nuestros proyectos asciende a el equivalente a la energía eléctrica utilizada por 899 hogares cada año; al equivalente de 39 piscinas olímpicas en ahorro de agua, y al equivalente a las emisiones de CO2 de remover 22,848 vehículos al año del tránsito.

IFC lanzó EDGE como una plataforma innovadora en línea, un estándar de construcción verde y un sistema de certificación disponible en más de 150 países. EDGE se creó en respuesta a la necesidad de democratizar el diseño y construcción de proyectos verdes y ofrecer una solución medible que demuestre el caso de negocio de construir verde. Esta certificación cuenta con el respaldo de un software gratuito que ofrece identificar soluciones para reducir en por lo menos 20% la energía, el agua y el carbono embebido en los materiales usados en la construcción del proyecto. De esta manera, EDGE permite a los profesionales de la construcción determinar de manera rápida, sencilla y asequible las formas más rentables de construir de forma sostenible, en función al tipo de edificio y a su ubicación.
